We have family in the area and have stayed at the Doubletree for the last 3 years. We have always enjoyed our stay and that's why we keep coming back. I read some of the other reviews and was surprised by some of the negative comments regarding the rooms, cleanliness and service. We have always been very pleased with our... more

The main attraction to this Doubletree is the hotel location directly on the beach. You can walk ou of your room and be on the beach in 2 minutes or less. The hotel also has a small tiki bar overlooking the water which is a good place to watch the sunset. The hotel pool is very small for a resort... more

We only needed one night in the Clearwater/St. Petersberg area so we selected the Doubletree as we have stayed at several of their hotels- Scottsdale, Tulsa, Overland Park, Dallas.... This hotel in Redington Beach is old and neglected. The room was small but clean and comfortable but the rest of the hotel needs to be overhauled. The carpets were filthy... more

We planned a "ladies get-away " and I felt like I was staying in a retirement community. If you like to go to bed early, then this hotel is for you. Even the hotel bar closes at 10pm. If you want a chair on the beach, it will cost you $25 per day for the rental. The "live music" at... more

One of the best places to stay on Redington Beach. Just step off the property and your on the beach. Clean white sandy beaches. Rent beach cabana for 25.00 a day. You can go to Walmarts and buy your own chairs and umbrella, but than you don't get the service of Kevin.... He tags your spot daily and checks on... more

Great to be right on the beach, but as other reviewers have said - there isn't much around. You have to drive a ways to get to any good restaurants or even to a grocery store. There aren't even any fast food places on the strip the hotel is on. (There is a Subway about 2 miles away which was... more

My husband and I just spent 3 days at the Doubletree in Redington Beach. The hotel was great. Friendly staff from check -in to check -out. Yes, it rained, okay poured the evenings while we were there, but it was vacation and you make the best of it. Recommended for dinner would be the Salt Rock Grill and to get... more

This was my second stay at the Doubletree. Our room was nice, the end room, 2 queen beds, room was clean with no odors. The room had a fridge and coffeemaker, nice bathroom, soft towels, softer bedding. The only complaint I have is there were no 'movies on demand'. The tiki bar for the most part was always crowded after... more

We stayed 2 nights here for memorial weekend getaway. We wanted a hotel located on the beach and what we could found were pretty pricey. It's not really close to the clearwater beaches but the beach is still nice. The Mango restaurant had a really good breakfast, the drinks were cheap and service was great! The bed and pillows were... more

Stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our beach vacation at this Doubletree. We had a gulf view room which gave a beautiful view of the beach and overlooked the Tiki Bar (which one night had very loud music but only until 11:00 p.m.). We reserved the beach bonanza special which included a daily cabana rental and breakfast for... more
