If I were to give a recommendation of a romantic hotel at Disney, I would say the POFQ immediately. It is so pretty, small and tucked away - yet very accessible to everything Disney. The best is a river view room because you can walk out at night and watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom at the water's edge. There... more

this was my first trip to disney world as an adult. i haven't had any interest in going to DW, but my 15 year old daughter has wanted to go, so "grandpa" sent us along with my mom on a girls trip. to be frugal.. he looked into the moderate hotels and found 2 with availability and decided on Port... more

I hate to share how wonderful this place is for fear of not being able to book it again! It is picture perfect. So quiet and relaxing. I don't know how they do it with such large crowds at Disney in June. The pools and French Quarter and Riverside out great. The grounds are lovely. The surrey bikes and river... more

We loved this hotel. The Rooms were a decent size and clean. The staff was great and helpful. The New Orleans theme was quiet and peaceful. It was a great place to come back to after visiting the parks. I even think they piped in the sounds of the Bayou. Our room was on the first floor in a building... more

We go to Disney world every year. We have stayed at the contemporary, Wilderness lodge, Polynesian, Carribean beach, and all star movies. Surpriseingly we really liked french quarter. The maid service was outstanding. Service was great.. We loved the pool. We will probably go back but not in June only complaint it was too busy in the parks all around. more

We stayed at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter in May 2009. We love this hotel and feel it is a great value. It is our faorite moderate resort. It is small which makes it an easy walk to the lobby, pool, food court, pool and bus stop. We also enjoy the boat ride to downtown Disney. The horse drawn carriage... more

Port Orleans is a “Very Nice Place for the Money". However, there are a few things that bugged me. #1 No cable TV. The channels were dominated by “Disney Infomercials” and they are bias on what news channels that are showed. #2 As a smoker I think that it’s outrageous to have to walk about 2 blocks to be able... more

Stayed at a different moderate (Carribean Beach) in 2006 but there was a huge difference in level of customer service between then and now. Maybe the economy but it looked more like complacency to me. Bus wait was as long as 35 minutes from Downtown Disney back to hotel, use the boat to DD, less wait and a 15 minute... more

Our first trip ever to Disney World was one that I budgeted carefully. We are not a rich family, but we could afford to save some scratch all year to take the kids to Disney World. This is usually the story of the families who stay at hotels like Port Orleans French Quarter, which is priced in Disney's 'Moderate' range.... more

I stayed at this hotel with a friend and her mother on vacation to Disney World. One of the best things about staying at a Disney resort is that they have a shuttle to and from the airport, which is included in the price of the hotel. That was so convenient and saved me from having to worry about additional... more
