A last minute screw up by one of the convention hotels, led me to the Doubletree Castle. After a long HOT tiring day, the front desk (and staff) was a welcome relief. Warm, welcoming, and beyond accommodating they are one of the few positives about this hotel. While the rooms are as clean as they can possibly be, they are... more

Very nice decorating. The reception and lobby restrooms are fantastic. Also the swimming pool and the location. On the center of International Drive. Same distance both ways to all attraction on both sides of the Drive. You can pick the $1 cart and go to SeaWorld, Universal Studios, or Wet 'n' Wild. Have to take a taxi or shuttle to... more

Doubletree is a wonderful hotel to be in. Its rooms are spacious and have all basic requirements, such as iron and ironing board, hair dryer, wardrobe, TV etc. It serves a luxurious breakfast and has a very courteous staff. It has an in-house counter for getting dicounted passes for Disney, Universal Studios and Wet n Wild. The hotel is located... more

Stayed here for last 2 nights of a wonderful 2 week holiday in Florida. It was nearly midnight & out of desperation with two tired teenagers we checked in paying $130 per night - there was a convention in town & all other hotels we tried on I-drive were in excess of $250 a night. Rooms were basic & didn't... more

I read positive reviews and thought I was in for a trippy treat. I always stay at Hilton properties when I travel, and the Doubletree at Universal was booked, so I went the way of the Castle. Though the outside and lobby are perfectly presentable, I have to agree with a previous poster - the purple/salmon color scheme of the... more

Stayed at this hotel in April '09 with my wife and 2 daughters. My youngest daughter absolutely loved the hotel's castle theme. She loved the pool with a fountain in the middle. We had a turret room that overlooked the pool/courtyard. Doubletree beds are absolutely fantastic!! Hotel location is right in the middle of International Drive, so numerous dining choices... more

I have been to Orlando so many times that I should be on Disney's payroll. This was my first stay at the Doubletree Castle. It is a slightly different hotel from the classic Doubletree, but not in a bad way. Check-in was fast and simple and per my standing request the room was on a higher floor and away from... more

The theme of this hotel (fairytale princess castle), makes it a perfect place to take little girls, our 10 year old loved it. The rate we paid ($59 a night in April) made it excellent value for money. It was clean, comfortable (great beds), and in the perfect location on International Drive. We would definitely stay there again. Our only complaint... more

We used this hotel to visit Disney World and Sea World. Great location on International Drive with lots of parking. The outside has towers and the inside is glamoures, the room spacious. They gave us a free upgrate and have special discounts voor AAA-members. There was also a business centre available with computers with free internet and the welcome-chocolate cookie... more

We stayed at the Castle for two nights after a cruise to visit Universal. Hotel is close to Universal studios but not within walking distance. A car is necessary. Hotel offers a shuttle at $5 per person each way but times are not flexible. Hotel lobby is nice and pool area are clean and well kept. Rooms are a different... more
