It's not fancy, but it is clean. Yes, there is some evidence of water damage or mildew, but it's Florida, so I would expect that. But in my room, at least, it wasn't a problem at all. The main thing I will remember about the hotel is the mold throughout our room. There was mold around the exterior window, mold growing around ripped wallpaper in various places in the room, mold throughout the bathroom, and mold growing throughout the mattress of a rollaway bed. This hotel is amazingly and exceptionally CLEAN!! Every surface in the lobby sparkles, and every inch of wall and carpeting looks like it is regularly cleaned. While the elevator does indeed make ominous noises, the room was excellent, the breakfast well above average, and the lobby area was attractive. The bed in my room seemed new, and the furnishings were better than most similiar priced hotels I stay in. The hotel is convenient to Winter Park colleges, museums, and shopping/ restaurants. more
