The Dolphin is a high end hotel built on Disney property in 1990, but operated by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide under the Sheraton Hotels brand. It delivers most of what one would expect from such a pedigree, but to us, misses the mark in three areas. What we did not like: Deceptive room rate. At check in, we were... more

My Husband and I just stayed at this hotel over the weekend. When we arrived the Valets were too busy talking to the cab drivers to open my door or assist us with our luggage. Upon checking in, I told Marie ( I think that was her name) about what happened and she was on the problem in seconds, she... more

Check-in time was listed as 3pm. When we arrived at 4pm, were told that the room assigned to us wasn't ready. Front desk asked for our cell phone # and said they would call when it was ready. We then went for a bite to eat, and returned around 6pm, figuring that the room should be ready. Problem there were... more

We are regulars to WDW and Orlando, but usually stay in a friends villa. On this occasion though we were only going to be there for a few days, and so selected this hotel as part of the flight and hotel deal at we bought on Expedia. We selected the Dolphin because it was a good deal, and we knew... more

We hadn't been to Disneyworld for years, so we were so excited about our trip. Upon arrival at the Dolphin, we were impressed with the friendly staff and attractive lobby area. We were assigned a room that was - just okay. The bathroom is so small you just about had to stand in the bathtub to close the door. Two... more

We booked four nights at the Dolphin from NW airline tours. The advertisement for the hotel said it was a few minutes boat ride from Disney World. When we got there, the boat ride was to one part of the part which we were not attending. We got on a shuttle bus that took 45 minutes to an hour to... more

When we arrived at our hotel room late night we were upgraded to a balcony room, but the renovated room had a stale smell and the tub would not drain. The next morning we were upgrade to a suite. But both rooms were old and worn. The real bargain was Dolphin's easy access to all the Disney parks. No need... more

Good a great rate, and the hotel exceeded expectations. We could walk to Epcot in about 15 minutes, and could see the Epcot ball and fireworks from the hotel. more

Stayed in September and had a nice trip, though not because of the hotel. It's a big indifferent place. The room was okay, fairly recently renovated, but smelled strongly of mold. The restaurants, like every other restaurant near Disney, are over-priced. We tended to grab meals at the pool side one, which was pleasant enough and the wait staff was... more
