First of all our room cards did not work and we were missing half of the supplies suppose to be in our room. Our room smelt like someone left molded things in it. Very unorganized, no sheets for bed our first night there. Lots of confusion and no answers. No communication between staff members. Very unconcerned about the guest. Not acceptable to have no bedding to sleep on. more

We checked in on June 13, 2009 at 4:00pm and checked out on June 13,2009 at 6:00pm.That's how long it took us to find a new hotel. When we arrived hotel staff looked very un-kept. Just stayed at The Maverick and had a great time. This place was built in 1959, but there have been a lot of renovations done. The first thing I noticed that it is CLEAN and the staff is very nice and helpful. The pool is big with enough chairs around, there is e a kids pool,along with a hot tub.... more

Yes, the rooms are small. However, the staff was helpful, the food in the restaurant was great (loved the pancakes!) and the location is wonderful! The pool is nice and the hotel even provides activities like water aerobics, ice cream, etc. for the kids. We go every summer and look forward to our stay! more

My wife and I have owned at the Maverick for about 5 years and cannot think of a place we enjoy God's beauty anymore than sitting on our balcony and looking out over the vastness. We own timeshares in other states but this is one of the better places we enjoy. No problems with anything that could not be resolved... more
