We stayed here in February 2013 for 2 nights. The campground is situated in a very nice area, pretty far away from it all. However, it was disturbing that its proximity to the highway made road noise a HUGE concern at night (a time when you should be able to sit outside and look at the stars in quiet and... More

My idea of camping is an abundance of trees and nature and relaxation. I've been hard pressed to find a camping experience in South Florida that fit that image for me. Fisheating Creek was much closer to what we've been looking for. There's many different options for campsites. The ones on the creek felt small, open, and on top of... More

Dear jlt, Thank you for your review and insight. We love sharing the beauty of the creek with people. So glad you enjoyed your camping trip. AND it sounds like you found the sweet spot of Site 21 :) We love watching the kids climb trees and ride their bikes...kind of harkens you back to another time. Thanks for visiting...hope... More

The website listed an abundance of activities to do. The weekend we were there there were not many. Our campsite had NO privacy from the other sites. It was a large lot compared to the other ones. We had to wear wristbands the entire time, which were awkward to wear and did not come off at night (they were the... More

This was my second visit to Fisheating Creek and our first time in our canoe. My husband has been coming here since he was a little boy and it is his favorite place on earth to get away from it all. As more people have discovered this jewel you will not be "alone" with Mother Nature, but it is still... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We spent 2 nights creekside in a tent and loved every relaxing minute. We had our 5-year-old son with us and he spent most of his time fishing right outside our tent in the creek. We enjoyed the clean campsite, close bathrooms, campside games that we could check out for free, and beautiful surroundings. We... More

The Campground was beautiful, the only thing wrong was the bathrooms, they were trashed, no toilet paper, clogged toilets, nobody seemed to maintain them. They need to have another bathouse in tent camping

Out in the middle of no where. Just what we needed. Reminded me of a rustic Ft. Wilderness(Disney). Campsites are large and spacious. Live oaks are beautiful covering about half the camping area. Lots of wildlife to see and hear. The tent camping area is the best I've ever seen. Most the tent sites are along the creek. We did... More

We loved the campground. Staff was friendly and the grounds were very clean. We rented spot 13 right on the creek. (Note: You have to stay at least two nights to camp on the creek.) There were quite a variety of people camping there most of which were very nice and sociable. The store is tiny but they have just... More

Such a fantastic campground. They offered everything in the camp store; including mayo (the only thing we forgot) and paper floating lanterns (a beautiful surprise.) Canoe, kayak and bike rentals on site. Only cons: quiet time didn't begin until 11 pm. I felt that was late but I have a three year old daughter I was trying to put to... More

The new managers of Fisheating Creek Campground are doing a great job. The expansion of several years ago was well done and did not compromise the natural ambience. It is great for tent campers and the store stocks just about anything you need. It must be practically impossible to keep the restrooms really clean, because of the lake and the... More
