My family recently took at trip to Punta Gorda, FL to visit family. We spent two nights in a suite at the Days Inn starting January 13, 2006. The facility only recently re-opened a few months ago after repairing damage from the 2004 hurricanes.
The suite was large and the furnishings, at least in the living area, were a bit better than what you would expect for a motel of this quality. The kitchen was well stocked. The check-in/check-out was smooth and the staff was pleasant.
There were a number of things that have kept me from giving this motel an above average rating:
1. There were no "no smoking" suites. So, the rooms had a peculiar "motel" scent to them. It's hard to explain, but you know it when you smell it.
