Since there were five of us, my husband, two children, mother-in-law and myself, we decided to stay in a vaction property instead of a hotel so that we could all be together and cook meals instead of going to the expense of eating out. So we booked our stay at a condo at the Colony Reef Club owned by Sunstate... more

Management response from

All of Colony Reef Club should not be held responsible for one alleged incident. This particular condo is handled by Sunstate and once a problem was identified, it was handled very quickly and professionally. We saw no actual proof of bedbug infestation. It should in no way reflect negatively on Colony Reef Club as a whole. This was not handled...

Stayed for 1 week in June 2008 with my wife and children in a 2 bedroom unit. My cousin and her husband stayed with their children in a 3 bedroom oceanview unit on the 2nd floor. Our unit was O.K. not very clean (had sand in the bed on our arrival) also foul smelling odor coming from the downstairs bathroom... more

Stayed at Unit # 2303 in December 2007. high to mid 70's. Couldn't beat the relaxing views / sunrises on the corner covered deck. This was the first time staying at the condo as well as St. Augustine. Nicely decorated unit. Inside pool was over clorinated, bad. Couldn't breathe inside the pool area. Daughter was throwing up it was so... more

Made reservations with Colony Reef to have a 3 bedroom unit. Upon arrival, the 3rd. bedroom was like a closet. No room for even a dresser in it. Just two twin beds. The sofa looked so dirty that we put a sheet over it so we would feel comfortable sitting on it, same with chairs. The hot tub was not... more

All the pros, and only one con. Very accessible. Clean and fresh. Owners have maintained it very well, decorated with thought and care, well designed. Cozy, comfortable, lots of seating in DR and LR, Bigscreen TV, jacuzzi tub, (2 full bathrooms), all the necessary appliances, neat efficient kitchen, open floorplan, great balcony, view of pool and ocean. Secure. Great pool... more

I recently stayed at Colony Reef Club and rented through a company Anastasia Island Mngt (all the condos are individually owned and the owner decides which management company they use). Their staff was not only helpful, but offered my todler a special gift upon check in. When we had concerns about a leaky faucet, the maintenance staff arrived within the... more
