The floor lamp cord sparked and could have caused a fire, the wire was coming out of the plug. When I told the front desk they came in a wrapped electrical tape around a part of the wire that had nothing to do with the problem. Very unconcerned, didn't care about guest's safety. Shower head was disgusting with black mildew.... more

I have stayed in this hotel several times b/c I have conferences up there quite often. In other times that I have gone to this motel I have noticed that it has been pretty run down, but...when I went in July (although I was dreading it) I was pleasantly surprised. Terrible place! Old and dirty rooms. The sheets were so stained my wife slept in her clothes! The front desk staff lied to try to get more money out of us. Stay somewhere else. more

A friend of mine and I went to St. Augustine for a night to see the historic sites, etc. We had a coupon for $39 room at the Historic Inn, which is right over the Lion Bridge on Anastasia Blvd. from most of the historic area. If you don't want to drive, you can leave your auto at the motel,... more
