My family and I vacation in St Pete Beach every year. We vacation there for fun in the sun and not for the hotels. With that said, even when we had reason to stay inside for an extended period of time we found our suite at the Alden to be satisfactory. I will agree that the hotel needs some updating... more

I went with family and we had 5 rooms. Rooms are dark, a little smelly & the carpet is grubby. My mom had two bugs in her room one, the day before we left and one the day of departure & we had one the day of departure. Beach was nice and in spite of our disappointment with the rooms... more

Not nice at all. Dark, dingy, smelly, unkempt grounds, noisy ac units, noisy fridges. Beach is very nice, too bad. This place needs mucho TLC. more

Travelled with husband and 3 teenage girls. First room dark and overlooking parking lot. Elevator and corridors in building grubby. Paid to upgrade to sea view. Our family of four stayed at the Alden after a week at Disney. It was a great choice for us, we needed to unwind. Stayed here as the price was right.. almost booked one of the tradewinds hotels next door but the Alden was less $$ and absolutely fine. more
