The pictures of the rooms of this resort on their website are completely misleading!! Apparently, all the condo units are individually owned and "decorated." It is a personal waste to rent a Condo directly from the Resort. There are quite a few Real Estate Co,'s easily found for Sanibel. There you can pick and chose your vacation Home to suit your needs. We stayed at the sundial it was beautiful and accomendating. The food was great but the best place to eat there is a place called LaMotta's Italian right off the island it was the best Italian food I have ever eaten. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was superior. I would recommend both places to everyone. more

My family first stayed at Sundial resort in 1994. We fell in love with Sanibel and Sundial it. We returned every year generally for 2 weeks up until 2005 a couple of months before Hurricane Charlie. Not resorty at all. Nothing to do, nothing planned for anyone but kids. Bar closes at 7:00 p.m., No spa or options if it rains. Not what the pictures look like. A lot older than the pictures. Expensive for what you get. My husband had to fix the shower door and the dishwasher! more
