We paid $200 a night for a queen efficiency. The grounds are lovely. Didn't swim in the pool but it looked inviting. HOWEVER, for $200 a night, I expect amenities like shampoo and a hair dryer. Sanibel Island isn't exactly noted for being inexpensive. The overnight charges at its swanky hotels look like telephone numbers and can induce hysteria at first glance. Just returned from a Florida roadtrip. We spent 2 nights at the Kona Kai, in a suite. We absolutely loved it. Super laid back. Brenda and her husband were friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. It was extremely clean, relaxing and quiet. Right on the mainfare in Sanbel and close to the beach. I highly reccomend Kona Kai to everyone visiting Sanabel. More
