Although this is not luxury travel, it is one of the best places to create family memories. The units are basic and clean. Kitchens (we had a total of 3 units over 2 weeks-each kitchen was slightly different) were basic but adequate for cooking meals for up to 8 people. We ate all meals in (except 2 nights to Armand Circle and a day trip to St. Pete's), so great potential to save a ton of money (and eat better!) The atmosphere is very low key and relaxed. Cannot beat the location at the end of the key, next to the nature preserve. We ended up buying and inexpensive dining canopy for the beach to park our beach chairs under and spent pretty much all day on the beach...which was a short walk down the stairs from our unit. Our children loved the game room...playing pool and ping pong while the adults played a game in the later afternoons before dinner.
