This hotel was difficult to find from the interstate. We didn't see any signs, and by the time we saw the hotel sign we were past it and had to turn around. The medians made it difficult to do, and you had to wind your way around and through businesses, without any clear signage. Once we found our way there... more

This is a reasonably priced category of hotel, but the service, cleanliness and breakfast were way above average. It felt like the proprietors really cared about our experience. The pool temp is perfect and the complimentary breakfast was better than most. more

We won a $53.00 per night bid on Priceline on a 2 night stay and we were able to check in early which was good. The second floor hallway was smokey and musty smelling and the carpeting really needed to be replaced. We requested a non smoking room, but the room still smelled and the carpeting was well worn. i thought this place was a great place to stay and value for money especially as sarasota is an expensive place to stay. the breakfast was nice and had a mixed variety of food, cereal, toast, muffins, fruit, waffles, tea and coffee, orange juice etc. more

As stated in the other reviews ...fairly ok hotel...small but usable pool/hot tub and computer in tiny lobby. Beds are truly awful, and the orange juice in the 'free' breakfast was terribly fermented. Worst feature was a gosh awful 'urine-type' odor that permeated the hallway on the 3rd floor. On our next visit to Sarasota, we'll try another hotel. more

We stayed at the Comfort Inn December 24 to December 29. After reading the reviews on here I was a little hesitant about the hotel, but my boyfriend knew the area and said he felt it was safe so we kept our reservation. Not a bad hotel overall for the money, but the area is kind of suspicious and the other tenants smell of drug use and hookers can be seen around the campus often. more
