Our trip was fantastic...food & drinks at the resort were a little pricey, but worth the convenience sometimes. Service was great. Beautiful, beautiful beach! more

Booked rooms via expedia and saved almost 50% off the resorts website quoted prices. E-mailed the GM that it was our anniversary and got an upgrade to the 4th floor! (Beach/Water view). My understanding of the floor plan is that the 2nd floor has a view of the dunes only, the 3rd has a view of just the water, and... more

My wife and I stayed at the Watercolor Inn for three nights after our wedding. We really enjoyed the facility and the people. Great staff throughout - everyone was very attentive and reacted quickly to any questions or needs. We spent most of the time at the adult pool, and considering that most schools were back in session, the number... more

Our family has visited WaterColor Inn on a number of occasions over many years. Unfortunately, our last visit will be our last. Although we requested an early check-in in advance, we waited for over two hours for our rooms and well-past the guaranteed check-in period. As we sat in the lobby, it seemed as if a number of quests had... more

I really enjoyed our stay at Watercolor. Traveled with wife and 9 year old daughter. The view from the balcony spectacular. Check in quick and efficient. Room had comfy king bed, and a pull out sofa. Bathroom just OK, and may not be to the standards you might expect from a $450/night hotel room. Not that it's bad,, just needs... more

I recently made the mistake of vacationing in Orange Beach rather than the Watercolor / Seaside area and it made me appreciate my many fond memories of this area. The Watercolor Inn is pricey and I balk every time we make a reservation, but it never disappoints. We are greeted with a friendly smile every time we enter and even... more

My husband and I were guests at the Water Color Inn for 4 nights. We were impressed with the friendly, helpful staff and with the facilities. Our room on the second floor had a lovely view of the ocean and felt private enough to warrent sitting on our personal patio every night before dinner. Our room was spacious and attractive.... more

Sayed at Watercolor form my wife's birthday June 9-12,2009 and for the price was disappointed. The room was beautiful and the ocean view was nice. The food at the restaurant "fish out of water" was great. However, the service was below average for a so called luxury resort, especially at this price. The beach chair policy was never explained by... more

My husband and I just returned from The Watercolor and both agree it was one of the nicest anniversary trips we have ever had. I am so glad that we went after the Easter and spring breaks (after what I have read from other guests) because the weather was perfect and most times we felt like we had the place... more

For years I have wanted to stay at the Watercolor Inn and my boyfriend surprised me with an Easter weekend (4-night) birthday trip. We paid $400/night (top/4th floor, deluxe ocean view room). The hotel is nice, but no longer a 5-star in our opinion. It just doesn't compare to a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton resort. My opinion is skewed... more
