Made my second trip for 2009 down to the Atlantic Bay Resort for Scuba Diving, fishing, Shopping, and Dining. My sister and I stayed in the Tropical Suite for 2 nights, over a weekend. Heather and staff were very accomidating in allowing us early check in the day of arrival. Came in on Friday and was pleasantly surprised by the size of our cottage. Plenty of space, king size bed, dresser with multiple drawers, full kitchen with microwave, cable T.V., and covered Tiki hut style porch with table and chairs. This hotel looks good in the photos but very disappointing in person. It is extremely unkept. The floors were filthy, had not been vacuumed at all. I dropped something behind the dresser and when i went to retrieve it, i found old batteries, huge hairballs, q-tips etc, horrible! The air filter was filthy in both our room and my sons... more

Nice, comfortable hotel but many creatures about. On my one week visit I experienced a large iguana (that got in the pool with us and proceeded to use it as its bathroom), peacocks not allowing me to get into my room for awhile, two snakes slithering through the parking lot, sharks in the lagoon, mosquitos galore, two dogs running around... more

We were really happy with this place, despite the lethal mosquitos (that are all around the keys) and having some plumbing issues. These were taken care of efficiently. It a beautiful little place, one of the only places with a beach children can play around in. more
