My family and I have just completed a 7 night stay at the Sands of Tresure Island and are already making our plans to return next year. It had been many years since I stayed there as my family use to take me there every year, at the same time, meeting the same people. This year we took my 2... more

Great Place for the Value. We stayed in Room 211. There was Overlooked the Gulf. Large balcony. Rooms are dated but are HUGE!!! Large dressing area. Showers were good. Beds and pillows okay. Nice pool. 17 people in our party. Some had rooms on the lower level which they liked. The only downside was all the kids who left their... more

My family and I have been spending a week every summer at the Sands for the last 5 years and have made great memories there. It is an older motel and it hasn't had a lot of upgrades, but that is part of the charm of the place. It is definitely a comfortable place for a beach motel. It is... more

Me and my family stayed there last summer for a week and when I booked the room I had told the man how many and that I would need 2 rooms but instead he said no 1 would be fine. When we arrived he was very nasty and I had 1 too many for the capacity and 1 of us... more

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor we were a bit hesitant, especially because there was nothing of recent months. Stayed a week, first week of April 2008. Had an effeciency with a balcony overlooking the gulf. The room was very adequate. Though, the furniture and room should be updated. The mattresses were new not as another reviewer had stated, so maybe... more

This place was built in 1947 and doesn't look like they have made any upgrades since then. The mattresses might be the original ones used in 1947. Musty smell permeated the rooms. Parking was a joke (overflow parking was a block and a half down the road). When the management was told the AC in the bedroom was not cooling,... more

Our family of 4 stayed at The Sands for a weekend, we live only 45 minutes away and were looking for a place to spend a weekend on the beach close by. Wow, what a great family beach motel. Yes, built in 1948, it was not The Marriott, but the decor was part of the atmosphere. We stayed in a... more

My family and I have stayed at the Sands of Treasure Island for in the spring and summer for many years. I LOVE this place. In fact I plan to get married there in a few years. What makes the Sands Great is the atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and the 70's charm is what makes the place different. I... more

We arrived late in the evening, and the staff was very upset even though we told them what time are flight came in. We got to our room and wow what a sight, not very clean and welcome to the 70's. Paint could do this place alot of justice. On the second day of our stay we had found a... more
