I had a wonderful time with my wife at this bed and breaksfast. We were met at the counter by the impressive (and very busy) Michelle. She checked us in at the old hotel counter - this place was built in the 20's. She took us up to the second floor in an old style elevator and walked us down... more

We stopped here whilst on a Florida self-drive holiday as it was close to Universal’s Theme Park but not located by the side of a busy motorway (as much of the alternative accommodation is). The positives are that the town of Winter Garden is attractive (full of interesting shops, restaurants and bars), the hotel is well located and offers an... more

The Edgewater bills itself as a "bed & breakfast style inn". It is an historic building kept in it's original state as far as I could see. It is truly a 'B&B Inn' from the point of being very customer friendly, and more of a homey atmosphere than a hotel setting. Everything was very clean and comfortable in my room,... more

If you want to spend a few days in a historic hotel located right on one of the best rail trails in Florida and close to Central Florida's shopping and theme park destinations, THIS IS IT! The price is a great value and includes a full breakfast. You can park your car and leave it for a long weekend. There... more

The staff was friendly, the rooms were charming, and clean. Towels were soft and fluffy. I am not a huge breakfast person, so it was fine. Loved the 20's feel and the hand operated elevator. They gave us a nicer room than I thought we paid for. So cute!! more

i live only 30 minutes away, but wanted to get away and try the hotel, the Chef's table at the hotel and catch a play across the street at the Garden theater. The hotel was clean and quite comfortable. Furnished with period fixtures from the 1920's and earlier. Staff was cordial, and breakfast was simple, but delicious. i was a... more

Great hotel if you aren't looking for anything fancy. It's a historic building, so don't expect modern luxuries. (It would not be good for someone who has trouble with stairs.) We loved it for a quiet, peaceful getaway. Staff people are friendly but unobtrusive. Breakfast is all-you-can-eat, homestyle food -- lots to choose from. We also enjoyed having restaurants right... more

My husband and I stayed at the Edgewater for our 28th anniversary. This was our 2nd visit and thus far the best. We loved the ability to get away from the plastic feel, impersonal ambience and the fake glitter of todays modern hotels without sacrificing comfort, safety and convenience. A short stay at the Edgewater is all it takes for... more

Firstly - despite the name, this is a Bed & Breakfast, not a hotel. And a wonderful Bed & Breakfast it is! The room and bed were comfortable and the breakfasts (cooked to order) are delicious! The staff was very accommodating and friendly as well, and very cool historic furniture decorates the entire place - it is very "homey." The... more
