I booked the Golden Suite for my visit with my husband who is stationed at Ft. Benning. Breakfast was fabulous - thank you, Mamie! Abundant, excellent food and rich coffee allowed for leisurely conversation with other guests. Our suite had an extremely comfortable king sized bed with tons of pillows. The burgandy silk drapes are lined to completely block the sun if you prefer to sleep late. There were fresh roses in every room, books,... more

I stayed here for 1 night. The house that was assigned to me had cockroaches in it. The Cafe 222 is closed. It was not open to the public. They were open only for the guests. The breakfast I had was nothing extraordinary. It's not worth the money. I would not recommend this place. more

When I resumed ownership of this inn, in May of this year, there was an enormous amount of work to be done. Since then, every guest suite and cottage has been refurbished according to our standards. It is true, that if you visited this inn between March 2008 and May 2009, you may have been disappointed. We opened in 1995 and owned this property for 13 years. We financed it's "sale" last March and have...

The Rothschild-Pound House is a storybook kind of place. It's beautifully furnished with lovely antiques, but also really comfortable. Great beds. And the food is one of the reasons people fall in love with the South. Try the pancakes! We fell in love with Velma too, their cook that sang us a hymn one Sunday morning during breakfast...priceless. more

Read the previous reviews and decided to give it a try. Absolutely the best decision! My husband was rather skeptical about booking at a B & B (he travels a great deal and tends to stay at 4 and 5 star hotels), but he was thoroughly charmed by the the inn. We were also very charmed with Columbus itself. Quite a pleasant city and lovely riverfront. The countryside too is very pretty, so different from... more

We were in Columbus for Army Ranger grauduation at Ft Benning, and happened to trip upon this inn on expedia, booked it without even having read any reviews given the other choices we saw, so I was pleased when I happened to look and saw all these great reviews. That said, my expecations were then high going in, but the experience exceeded those expecations. Loved the room, including fireplace, jacuzzi, etc., impeccably clean and comfortable,... more

I stayed in the Rothschild-Pound House Inn for many months while traveling to Columbus, GA for business. The Innkeepers, Maime and Gary, were very hospitable and gracious hosts. The beds were amazingly comfortable, (complete with featherbeds), and the rooms were well apointed and decorated. Gary is a gifted artist, and you can see examples of his work all over the Inn. He and Maime also worked hard restoring the Inn, and it shows. The landscaping... more

The Rothschild-Pound was a good B&B and I would recommend it to others. The location in an old quiet part of Columbus is nice, and the cottages are cozy and unique. The one that we stayed in was decorated with original artwork by Garry Pound. After a bad experience at another B&B close by, we were walk-ins to the RP. The concierge and really every member of the staff that we met was extremely friendly... more

My husband and I will never forget our night at the Pound House! We have told all of our friends about our delightful night by the fire in the Forsyth Suite. I loved the feeling of all the suites, the main house, the hospitality. We will definatly treat ourselves again. I look forward to it. more

My Husband and I stayed here when I went to Columbus on a business trip. It was a lovely place staffed by warm and accomidating people. We stayed in one of the 'shotgun' cottages on the block they own and we had our own private sitting room, nice comfy bed and lovely bathroom with jacuzzi tub. I loved it. more
