The mountain top location of this lodge is wonderful, and most of the rooms have spectacular views overlooking a valley surrounded by lush mountains; this is the major strength of the lodge. We stayed at the Lodge at Amicalola the night before visiting the Falls. The lodge is perfectly situated up on a rise so that you can see the mountains all around you. The view is gorgeous from your room. The room was very clean and well kept. The furnishings were a bit old and out of date, but were comfortable.... more

We stayed in the lodge which is on top the mountain. The view out our room window was beautiful. Accomodations were basic "state park" but clean and comfortable. We stayed here one night. Should have been more. Outstanding value. Ask for room as high up as available. View of the area is breathtaking. Place was spotless.
