We stayed for 2 nights in June 2009. The room was cute and cozy like being at your grandma's house. No, the mural on the wall was not very 2009, nor was the decor, but the bed was nice, the shower worked well, and it was a clean, large room within walking distance to the downtown Helen area. There is... more

Myself along with twelve other Shriners have been staying at this place every year for the past five years and have never had a problem. We have found it to be very clean and there is no smoking in any of the rooms also, no phones which has never been a problem for us. We have reservations again for this... more

Thus was the worse week-end of our lives. We went to Helen for my husbands birthday and stayed here. We were suppose to get a non-smoking room but our room reaked of smoke. Nothing in this room matched. Comferter didn't match sheets, sheets didn't match each other, pillow cases didn't match, furniture was old and outdated and very uncomfortable, towels... more

I didn't have problems with anyone being rude. The rooms were decorated as if at Grandma's house. Flower everything, but nothing matches. Out-dated furniture, missing knobs, etc. Coffee, pastries and fruit for breakfast. The tubs/showers were dirty, the hardware was old and cracked. Great price though considering the other hotels in the area and almost double during the Oktoberfest. So... more

The room was filthy (hair in the shower, stains on the carpet, dust everywhere) and mismatched (The comforter didn't match the sheets which didn't match the pillowcases which didn't match the three different types of wall paper in the room). The "Lobby" was awful, with the owner's cat lounging around getting cat hair everywhere, including my clothes. We called to... more

This place is dirty & over run! If you're looking for a memorable place, with "good" memories, stay clear of this place! We drove in from NC to Helen, GA to attend my Son's wedding in the nearby Chapel. My Son, his bride-to-be, their 2 small children and the bride-to-be's parents all planned to meet at the Alpine Village Inn.... more

My fiance and I decided to get married in Helen, GA; August 20, 2005; we live about 2 hrs away. We made a few trips to the chapel and tried a few restaurants and everything was good, I made an email inquiry to make sure the availibility lined up and it did, I was sent a generic response email with... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Alpine Village Inn during New Years. The little lady at the front desk was sooo very nice. The rooms have furniture that may be a little dated, but the beds were so comfortable. It's very homey, and directly across the street from the Chattahoochee River. We just walked across the street and had... more

On December 28, 2004, I wanted to go on a short vacation. I decided that Helen, Georgia was close to home and it was a good time to visit there for the first time. I picked the Alpine Village Inn, due to the location, price, their website and their brochure. When I arrived it was late and I was tired.... more

This is the place if you just want to relax and take it easy. Very nice rooms, reasonable rates, very nice folks. It is American owned and operated. Just across the street from the river with tubing and trout fishing. Quite small garden area to relax in at night and just set and talk play cards or whatever you would... more
