“A bit tired and grubby but more than made up for by the staff and the food.”

This is an expensive experience and in most aspects it lived up to the billing but the resort is not only in need of a refurbishment, there needs to be some on-going improvements that could be simply made. We spent three nights at Thonga (after two at kosi forest) for our honeymoon. The setting is spectacular on a secluded beach within the isimangaliso reserve. “Perfect Honeymoon!”

We chose Thonga Beach Lodge for our Honeymoon and could not have chosen a more perfect spot. The setting is magical, the lodge is what we termed "rustic-5-star", the staff are warm, efficient and very professional and the food was out of this world. I would recommend it a thousand times over.

“Paradise found!”

This resort is simply really away from everything. Beautiful, amazing natural surroundings. The bungalows might be somewhat basic, but the experience and setting is breathtaking. Great place to wind down, rest, endless beach strolls etc. The servcie is excellent, the food is good, nothing spectacular, but good. All in all a place to return to to chill out.
