Mcdonough: America's Best inns & Suites: A nightmare

I had made a reservation March 17, 2008 because I new we would be arrriving early evening and wanted to ensure a room. At first they said they had no reservation in our name, then said they gave our room to someone else. I had guaranteed our reservation with a credit card. We were told they had one none smoking room left which we took. When we opened the door we found sticky spots on the carpet, no baseboards in the room. the toilet had brown corrosion around it and the bathtub had some kind of stains in it. The room smelled badly of smoke. I had to challenge the women at check in because she wanted to charge us more than what I was quoted . She finally agreed to the reservation price which was only a few dollars anyway.
