This is the most amazing place I've ever stayed. The room was beautiful, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious--everything was perfect. My husband loved the golf. The spa was wonderful and luxurious, although SUPER expensive and not necessarily so much better than any other nice resort spa. We can't wait to go back next year. more

My family (my wife and I, my parents and my wife's mother who are in their early 60s, and my wife's grandmother (mid 80's)) went to Sea Island Resort for 6 days for Christmas 2007. I know it sounds like a motley crew of all ages but the six of us had a great time. Some of us have been... more

Although extremely expensive, Sea Island boasts with southern charm. We had a great time playing the Seaside links three days in a row. It truly is a lovely and challenging course. However, the food was good but not excellent and the service was sometimes overbearing. more

I'm a member of an investment club that takes an annual golf trip to some of the best golfing destinations in the United States. This year our trip was to Sea Island, Georgia and we had an outstanding time. Because of the size of our group and in an effort to save a little money, we booked a nine bedroom... more

I went to Sea Island with my husband for a 4 day get away the last week in February 2007. It was bliss - we stayed in the beach houses which are located away from the main 'Cloister ' building. We had an obscured view of the beach but were still pleased. The room was very comfortable, clean, with up-to-date... more

We are staying here right now and getting treatment fit for kings and queens. These people cannot do enough for us. Every staff person is highly trained and qualified to work in this 5 star establishment. I can't believe the level of service. It is the best resort I have ever stayed in; ever. The food is awesome and every... more

Sea Island's arrogance has lost me as a customer for life. The front desk's attitude effectively turned me off from staying there - at $1500 a night for with (illogically) two queen beds with a marsh (not ocean) view, I wouldn't think they could afford to alienate many prospective guests. Upon renting a house in the area (a beautiful beachfront... more

My husband and I vacationed at the Cloister in July 2005 on a family trip. The rooms and kid's activities were awesome! The food was above average but not excellent. The resort is quite spread out and the ocean view rooms are not actually ocean view. Regardless, we had an awesome vacation and we would recommend the Cloister, particilarly for... more

My husband and I recently completed a three day stay at the Cloister on Sea Island. The area is indeed beautiful and our accomodations were delightful. The problems we encountered were twofold - the staff and the food. There appear to be a plethora of individuals employed by the Sea Island group - and some of them were quite helpful... more
