Went to Tybee this past weekend for a friend's wedding. A couple of friends and I decided to stay the night since it was a 6 hour drive back home. We went with the Howard Johnson because it was in walking distance to the wedding. Big mistake...it was gross. I'm talking dirty, smelly, and dark. Definitely not worth the $215... more

The staff at this hotel was very friendly. The room was clean and well stocked. It was right across the street from the beach, and close to a few popular island restaurants (and a great ice cream shop). I would recommend it to anyone looking to be close to the beach for a bargain! more

We where at tybee in july had a great time as we always do . Stayed at Howard Johnson and captain chris was great , Has anybody ever noticed captain chris looks like peter griffen off of T.V.
