I contacted the Hunters Inn in Cambridge the day before we were set to arrive. They could guarantee us a room, but it may only be a full bed, although the employee I spoke with said she would keep an eye on the situation, and have us upgraded to a queen bed and larger room if it came available.
Upon our arrival, our friendly and professional hostess said she had been able to get the upgrade.
The motel is the old generic 1950's to 1970's style, but interiors have been very recently updated. There was a small flat-screen LCD tv with cable, a very comfortable bed with a homemade quilt and extra pillows. The carpet was new, and everything was clean and in good working order.
This is a completely non-smoking establishment.
Cost for our room with queen size bed and hide-a-bed was $65 - on a Saturday holiday weekend. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.
Dinner at Mrs. G's was okay. Nothing to write home about. The pies looked very good...
