My Wife and I stayed at 4 Yellowstone area locations in 10 days for our 22nd Anniversary (Sept. 15-25,09) This Lodge looks newer and more Romantic than a lot of the small inns & Lodges around West entrance and in a nice location. Island Park is convenient to enjoy Herriman State park Horseback riding, Targahee Ntnl Forest, several Trout fishing... more

The room we got had two queen beds, Cable TV, Wireless Internet (very slow), a large bathroom with tub/shower, Refrigerator and a porch overlooking the river. Cost was $151 per night including taxes. A little high, but acceptable for the Labor Day weekend. The Lodge lobby is beautiful, with a fireplace and many couches with large picture windows overlooking the... more

I felt the overall stay was mediocre at best.. The rooms were okay, the hot tub was weird and only filled a 1/3 of capacity and the area around it seemed dirty. The restaurant was fair and there were houseflys flying around. more

We stayed here between 2 days of hiking in Yellowstone, it's a bit out of the way from the west entrance, but it's a better value than staying inside the park. The room was cute and comfortable and the river is literally right out the back door. more

We stayed here because of the reviews from you wonderful folks for our first trip to Yellowstone; thanks for letting us know.It is a good 30 minute drive to the West gate but we decided it was a good place even though not inside the park nor West Yellowstone, which is very ugly and not somewhere you would enjoy being.... more

Loved the angler's lodge! Full of rustic charm, really friendly staff (they introduced themselves to us at dinner which was lovely), beautiful views and huuuuge room. Amazing 'bear' bed and balcony. Only bad thing was the mozzies (although to be fair it meant that the fishing was good!) Fantastic local beer and wholesome family-friendly food. Don't have to be an... more

We had a great experiance, the rooms were beautiful with lodge pole and pine furnishings. The scenery of the Henry's Fork River is spectacular and the staff was very friendly and helpful especially the owner he took time to give us some great tips on fly fishing and explain where to fish. We would recommend this place to everyone more

When I booked the room over the phone they were very friendly and informative, however once I arrived, the man at the front desk seem slightly agitated that I dragged him away from watching the US Open. He didn't even want my credit card so he gave me a key and said he would settle up later. Then rushed back... more

We booked the small cabin with the lodge directly. We were told it was a new CABIN, sleeps 8, dishwasher included and all we needed to bring was the food. Upon arrival the new CABIN as it was called, was a renovated very old building turned into a duplex, single-story apartment which sat right on the main highway through town.... more
