This lodge is an okay choice in a small town with limited options. Our upstairs room with two queens was spacious. Unfortunately the first night at 1 am three young men next door came in probably from the bar and we finally had to go next door to speak with them. After that they were like church mice. The others... more

After struggling to fall sleep on the horrible rock-hard mattress (I like hard mattresses, but this was extreme) we were awakened to CONSTANT loud, prolonged conversations outside our room by other guests two nights in a row- I could go on, I assure you- I'm leaving stuff out...we checked out early and went down the road to finish up our... more

This facility was fine. The natural hot spring down the trail is interesting. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The staff was helpful. My recommendation would be to get a room upstairs. That way you can avoid dealing with inconsiderate people stomping around late at night. more

This hotel is nice enough, clean enough and comfortable enough to be a regular stopover spot for us when passing through Stanley. If you are hiking, biking, exploring or rafting this is an affordable base camp that provides the necessity of a hot shower and a decent bed. The rooms are a little dated but clean and overall it's about... more

Spent one night here just to enjoy the fall scenery and beautiful weather. The motel is certainly in need of an update and, given that it is for sale, the current owner is probably trying to push off the deferred maintenance to someone else. One chair in the room was filthy and the bed was terribly uncomfortable with no box... more

This hotel is the starting point for many river trips on the Salmon and Middle Fork of the Salmon. At one time it was a luxury hotel, but no more. The rooms have two double beds, a bath with tub shower and a separate vanity area with single sink. They also have satellite TV and phone. Next door is a... more

Stayed here one night before and one night after a week long rafting/fishing trip on the middle fork of the salmon river. This lodge is where our outfitter told us to stay. It was dumpy, dark, stained carpet and furniture. Poor cleanliness. Needs total refurbishing. Overpriced for poor level of accomodations. The room we rented was worth $10.00 but cost... more

The price was right but the rooms were not very nice and right on the highway. The carpet was the inexpensive not really nailed down kind and it was stained. The beds were barely adequate and the bathroom linoleum was littered with cigarette burns. Not the worst place I have ever stayed, but close. more

I could have lived with the older hotel rooms and the dirty hot spring that was 500yards away. But I could not live with the horrible rude and unfrendly staff. Stanley is absoulty gorgeous, I will go back and try my luck at a different Hotel!! more
