Sun Valley Lodge, and its sister property, the Sun Valley Inn, are delightful in every way. For a vacation, particularly with a family, there is so much to do! The range of activities - both summer and winter - is terrific. A swimming pool, a super outdoor skating rink (with lots of professional shows), good restaurants, a spa with terrific... More

Ernest Hemingway is said to have written part of "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in a suite in this hotel, and the owners of this lodge have done a good job capturing some of that era's charm and glamour in the hotel's appearance. That said, the hotel has all the modern amenities you'd expect in high-quality, 21st century lodgings. My... More

Have stayed there 4 or more times and have always had the best time there. Friendliest staff, spotless rooms, great resturant and bar, super hot pool and ice skating rink. It's a must stay winter or summer....Dave More

We spent the holiday season in Sun Valley and thought it was one of the more charming ski towns in America. You would have to travel to Europe to feel the same charm and we believe Sun Valley/Ketchum is a true hidden gem. The mountain is great and the on mountain facilities are some of the best. The Lodge however... More

First things first: when booking this hotel I didn't *quite* know what I was getting into. I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way, but the Sun Valley website isn't very clear about a lot of things, and the couple of times I called with questions the women I spoke to (yes, women, all 2 or 3 times I... We stayed in a comfortable and cheery room, the cheapest one, I think, but it was charming. Were only there one night in the shoulder season, but took full advantage of the hot outdoor pool and sauna. The lady at the sauna gets special commendation for being lovely. For $140/night, it was a fun experience, though we found cheaper and... More

I recently stayed at the Sun Valley Lodge and found the overall experience wonderful. I arrived late at night from NYC and the lodge had a very kind driver come and pick me up. The lodge itself was charming - very old school in a good way! The staff were helfpul, the rooms clean and there was lots to do. More

We loved staying at the Lodge, because of the convenience of everything. We ice skated on the rink every day we were there. We walked to the Nordic center to go cross country skiing. We walked into Ketchum several times along the fabulous paved trail. We could have taken the shuttle to town, but it was such an easy walk.... More

Everything about our stay was superb. The staff, the service, the facilities; all of the first order. although not inexpensive, it seemed to be significantly more reasonable than other first class ski resort main lodges at which we have stayed. Our trip was enhanced by the fact that Sun Valley was the only ski area in its class with abundant... More
