This was my second stay at Fairmont, for business meeting. This time, surprisingly the rooms were very big spacious! Service was good too.. I was too busy to use hotel facilities, however I know that their facilities are good. Some things I fail to understand, that you get free wi-fi connection by just registering on to Fairmont club. And this... more

I was looking forward to staying here for my wedding in late September, and was surprised by the signs of hard times that were subtle, but affected me and my husband. For example, he got locked out of our room 2 times, once having to wait for 15 minutes in the hallway after going to the spa. The other time... more

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel- it was in a great location near Millennium Park. We were in walking distance to several wonderful restaurants, Navy Pier, the museums, and several other sites! The hotel was nice and roomy and had wonderful amenities. Also, the concierges were extremely helpful and provided us with some wonderful directions and suggestions for restaurants.... more

Stayed 3 nights in early November for a girlfriend trip! Booked a suite and had incredible views. I don't think the beds are as comfortable as Westins..etc. Check in was fast and easy. I found ALL the staff to be super friendly! We were on the 21st floor...two bedded suite with a nice bathroom. Our room was quiet. I used... more

Unrealistic that in this day and age you have to pay $14.95 a day for internet service in your room. (Also have to pay $10 a day to use the gym.) Restaurants in the hotel are really overpriced. Room was nice and the location is convenient, but for the price, they don't have to be so stingy! more

I recently stayed at the Fairmont in Chicago. I got a great deal on Priceline so I was a little worried what the room would be like. It was beautiful and big. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated. I loved the shower which had one of those big rainfall shower heads. The neighborhood was also nice because it... more

Finished a 3-nighter at the Chicago Fairmont about a week ago. Overall, the experience was okay. Unless I need the stay credit, I don't think I'll stay at this hotel next time I go to Chicago. Drive-up: Taxi pulled up to the hotel. No doorman in sight. It was 3 pm. Perhaps all occupied with other guests. Don't know. Good... more

We have a tradition of visiting an American city every year that we haven't been to before. Last year, it was Washington D.C., which was AMAZING. This year, we picked Chicago, and it was a bit of a letdown. It did have a little to do with staying at the Fairmont. My inner voice said Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton,... more
