My husband and I planned a "stay-cation" to this hotel. The MySpa services were excellent and convenient. Our view was lovely (30th floor). The room itself was a little small. The bathtub was awkwardly small to take advantage of the "bath sommelier" service. Perhaps other suites are better suited. Overall, a nice escape. The decor feels a little Ikea, and... more

Just returned from a stay at the Fairmont with my kids over spring break. There was a great special on the Fairmont site of buy 2 nights, get the 3rd free. With that they gave $100 restaurant credit, $50 spa credit, and discounted parking of $25 per night (regularly $49). Arrival and check in no problem with excellent service from... more

Hotel room nicely decorated, but only one drawer to speak of, lived out of suitcase. Wide screen tv was not HD, only SD and would not maintain SD aspect ratio, kept resetting to stretch. Annoying shower head was rainshower type, too little water pressure, not adjustable, hot water took 15 minutes to arrive in the am. Given only one bar... more

We recently completed our second stay at the Fairmont Chicago. The check-in process was quick and painless but the front desk staff was almost disinterested in the whole procedure. That is fine when I am traveling on business, but on leisure trips I would appreciate a warmer greeting. The hotel was hosting a convention at the same time as our... more

My friend and I booked the Fairmont on bookingwiz.com and got the room for $112.00 tax included for 1 night. The lobby is beautiful. We had arrived at 10:00am and wanted to put our bags in the "holding tank" while we shopped BUT they checked us in to a room at that point. We were thrilled!! The room was INCREDIBLE!!... more

I have been staying at the Chicago Fairmont for many years. This time, I found it totally redecorated in a style that, in my opinion, makes it look cheaper. Water preassure in the shower was very bad, some guy came in to fix it, he changed the shower but still, nothing even close to good enough. The room service mentioned... more

Redecorated rooms with cheap furniture (a 3-legged coffee table that fell over when you brushed up against it), no water pressure in the shower, polyester pillows that were so old & flat they were unusable (we're allergic to feather), overcharges on the bill ($138 for breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which we never visited)... The crowning blow was a buffet... more

For the price of the Marriott we spent a night here ($122 + tax) and had an enjoyable if brief stay. As others have noted the hotel has been recently renovated, and the rooms are furnished with attractive and sleek scandanavian-type design. The staff was polite and attentive, and seemed to match the redesign with a hip kind of feel.... more

I stayed at the Fairmont Chicago from 1/12 thru 1/15 for a convention at McCormick. The convention rate was $159, and I used an President's Club upgrade certificate to upgrade to a park view 1 bedroom suite (room#2301). I took a cab from O'Hare...costs about $45 including tip and didn't have to hassle with parking, which is typically expensive for... more

My family of four (two daughters 14, 9) stayed at the Fairmont on December 22 for four nights. This is definitely not a family hotel, but considering we went on a leisure trip and had planned to visit Chicago's main attractions, surely there are plenty to keep you busy for two weeks and amenities like pool or fitness room inside... more
