I came up for a three day weekend and was amazed at everything about this place. First, to receive a call three hours before arrival regarding the weather and an offer to help bring in my bags from my car was impressive but unnecessary. My hostess Joy was delightful and engaging. I got the full run down of the place... more

We were very pleased with the Villa Toscana. We had told them when we would arrive so they were there to greet us. To be honest, that was the last time we saw the staff until it was time to leave. Since we never had a problem, that suited us just fine. There was always fresh coffee in the morning,... more

The location of Villa Toscana in Boystown was perfect for our visit. The place was clean and cute. They are environmentally friendly so all we got in our room was soap--so bring shampoo, lotion, etc. They also don't provide glasses in the room, but you can go up to the kitchen and get some for wine, soda, whatever. Everything is... more

- Booking was done over email and the booking was finalised without efforts and booking confirmed by email with detailed instructions from Joy on how to get there + some additional tips - Upon my late arrival, I checked in by myself and met some guests who introduced me to the place: this was a very good way of getting... more

Just got back from three days in Chicago, where I stayed at the Villa Toscana. Can't comment on the basement rooms as I was upstairs. But I can't help but feel that those who find the rooms cramped would never be happy living in NYC! My bedroom was small but incredibly pleasant. Clean, quiet, everything I could have wished for.... more

Nobody was there when we arrived so we had to schlep our luggage around the neighborhood until somebody showed up to let us in. It seemed nobody on staff was ever around except for one lady and she was always busy with other guests. The rooms are microscopic and not all that clean. We found huge dustwebs behind the bed... more

I have stayed here before and generally liked it...especially the location...within a short walk of the Addison St red line station near Wrigley Field. BUT, the owners are rarely on the premises leading to confusion about rooms, keys etc, and they are sadly lacking in amenities....they provide soap but no shampoo for example...a very inexpensive amenity to provide..and the place... more

We have stayed at the Villa Toscana many times over the years. We like the location and the staff was friendly. Yes, the quarters are cramped and not hot about the bathrooms, but can be eaily dealt with. I placed a reservation on their own site and was confirmed for a room, a price, and the dates. The Villa Toscana... more

The wife and I were im pressed with the hospitality and lovely rooms. We were treated very well and we both thing the rooms were much nicer in person and the pictures don't do it justice. We had great privacy and so much to do near by. We will be back and will definately tell friends. more

Stayed at the The Villa Toscana in Sep 2008 when travelling with fiancée checking out the USA. The place was almost completely empty whilst we were there (time of year?) so it felt like we had hired a whole hotel to ourselves. We were greeted very well by the host and showed to a decent sized room which had everything... more
