The hotel room was elegant, quiet, and had a nice view. The location on the Miracle Mile near the Chicago River was perfect for shopping and dining. we booked this as HiltonHonors (diamond) reward stay, and we were extremely pleasantly surprised that - because all executive rooms were booked - they double or triple upgraded us to the Presidential Suite !!! Some of the negatives of the Conrad are also things that make it nice. By this I mean that it's right smack in the middle of all of the Michgan Ave. shopping action, but it's a little hard to find if you are driving---which makes for a quiet stay---no busy lobby or packed bar. I booked this hotel under after reading a website that said that the Conrad was one of the most kid friendly hotels in Chicago.
