The Central Loop Hotel is located in the financial district of downtown Chicago about 1.5 miles from Michigan Avenue. We found that we could go to the Navy Pier,Michigan Avenue for $7-$10 per taxi ride. It is not the Westin or the Omni but it was great for what we needed. My wife and I spent 3 nights at this hotel at the end of May 2009. It's location made it perfect to walk to various attractions, such as sears tower, Magnificent Mile etc, within 15 minutes! Hotel is well located in the Loop, 10min walk to State St and Grant Park. $35 in a cab from O'Hare Small, simple reception, all about getting you into your room fast. Stayed here for a 4 days and was extremely happy with the location and the hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Loved the free filtered bottled water in the hallway.
