the hostel itself was awesome.the staff was superfriendly, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortabe.there was a small but nice breakfast each morning and everyday there were activities everyone could join.
the only downpart was that the next metro and busstop is a little further away but the way downtown is not that long once your in the train.

The Chicago Getaway Hostel is truly a lovely place. My best friend and I stayed for 3 nights in June while visiting a friend in Chicago. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the hostel is less than 10 minutes from the train. In the summer you can walk to the beach as well.

Awesome Hostel, great vibe with other travellers, amazing kitchen setup up, great common room. Beds were decent and comfortable.
Hostel is within walking distance of Fullerton 'L' station and close to some great bars and eats.

Getaway is clean, well furnished and spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. They've got guitars and a piano to use. Location was really cool. It isn't in the city center but there are heaps of bars and shops with walking distance, as well as a train station.

I stayed there for my 9 days trip, and it was great! There is a breakfast buffet, and the staff is always welcoming. The kitchen is well equiped and the whole place is EXTRA clean! Don't lose time by searching a place to stay, and stay there (in Lincoln Park, near a metro station).

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Unbelievable layout, rooms, massive multiple common areas. It did get a bit noisy at night in the common rooms as there is a piano, but this is part of the social aspect. Heaps of people from all over and really outgoing staff.
