We stayed here one night, the room was large, very comfy and of good quality. The staff were nice and helpful. There were a few bars and restaurants closeby, and downtown was a short bus ride away. So overall I would give this a thumbs up. more

The hotel is relatively close to the downtown. it takes about 20 minutes to Magnificent Mile to the heart of the city by bus. Room was tiny but clean. Its comfort is more than enough if you just need a place to stay at night. Probably you would prefer to spend your time out Chicago.. Days Inn is good choice..... more

This hotel is in a super location: lots of restaurants, good transportation nearby, shopping, attractions (zoo), bars, etc. The one problem we had was that the doormen or bellman (hard to tell which were which) had bad odors. It hits you as soon as you get in the doors. They hand out just inside the front doors to the hotel.... more

I picked the Days Inn because my friends lived 2 blocks away, and it seemed to be in a nice neighborhood. Well the neighborhood is great....a 2 block walk from the L, passing all sorts of mid and upper range restaurants, fast food, Walgreens, CVS, Borders, Starbucks....all very nearby. The hotel is very nice too, nicer than a standard Days... more

Obviously this is not a 5-star property in the terms most people think of it. My rating is based on the fantastic value a visitor gets in a very expensive city. I write travel books and am doing one on Chicago. I thought this would be a great base of operations for one of my trips: in Lincoln Park, good... more

Fantastic location for us between Halston, the Zoo and the Loop railway. Nicely out of downtown but easily reached in 15mins. Get an internal room overlooking the central area - lovely an quiet at night for a great sleep. Great free breakfast to start the day! more

My girlfriend and I came up this last weekend for PRIDE. This hotel is above & beyond what I would, stereotypically, expect from a Days Inn. The location is perfect for PRIDE or a weekend in "Boystown". This hotel is very welcoming to LGBT travelers (as evidenced by an in-room informational sheet on the PRIDE parade - which by the... more

This is a pretty good hotel, located close to buses and the metro. The rooms were decently-sized and had all the amenities we could need. The negative sides: -The computer is really restrictive, pop ups do not work for example. My boarding passes were in pop ups so I had to go to an internet cafe in order to be... more

I stayed 4 nights beginning June 21. I arrived late at night and I was given a very small, nice, but very small room. I asked if I could be moved the next day, as I was staying for 4 nights. Neil was so nice and helpful and I was moved to a bigger room. Anthony was helpful too, as... more

This is not your typical Day's Inn. This is a completely renovated, modern older hotel in a great neighborhood. Found this is Hotwire for $53, cannot be beat in Chicago. Room was immaculately clean, beds very comfortable. Coffee, microwave and fridge in room. Free wireless internet with access code that they change every 2 days so you may have to... more
