This is one of very few low priced hotels in downtown Chicago. The rooms are rather worn and the furniture is dated, but you get a fridge and a micro. Beds are fine. Internet worked great. My only real critisism is the noisy elevated Red line which runs just outside. Don't expect to get much sleep if you're a light... more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my mom and sister. We found the room to be clean with unexpected amenities such as a refridgerator and microwave. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the bellman, Lester. He helped us get on the correct bus and helped us with our luggage. I can't wait to go back and... more

My wife and I wanted to see Chicago and needed to be on a budget to afford everything else so we booked a week here. We had room 1235 (top story on end of building) so we didn't get a lot of noise all week. The staff at desk aren't very knowledgeable so just ask people on the street for... more

Fantastic location for what we needed. One block off of Michigan Ave, a few minute walk to Millenium Park, Soldier Field, the Magnificent Mile and the train to Wrigley Field!!! Check-in was quick, check-out was decent. Room 315 was quite large, with a very large bathroom as well. I would venture to say the room was at least 400 sq... more

I stayed in room 535, the room has one full size (single person) bed. I wanted a cheap room and I did not plan to spend any time in the room except to sleep. There is no view from the windows of room 535, just brick buildings across the narrow alleyway but I don't care, I'm not hanging around in... more

We stayed at this hotel while in town for Lollopalooza. For the purposes of this trip this hotel was fine. Convenience was very important since the concert was in grant park and this hotel was a mere 5 minute walk. We had an oversized room with two dbl beds, microwave, fridge, "minibar" area. Beds were comfortable, but certainly not anything... more

Extremely good location for using the subway and buses, which allows us to go to all places that we wanted to see in Chicago. There's a Thai restaurant next to the hotel- food wasn't bad. Pizza hut, KFC, Subway and Dunkin Donuts are just round the corner. Other restaurants, CVS, grocery stores etc could be found nearby too. It's within... more

The customer service was very nice, and you can leave your bags (for $1 a piece) after check-out so you can enjoy the city longer on your last day. The rooms were clean, and roomy enough for being in the city. Not much noise from other guests, and the el isn't too loud at night. Perfect if you just need... more

It's the cheapest you can find in downtown, so don't expect too much. Coming from the south, I hated paying so much for a room that wasn't too great. Bathroom was redone and nice. Rooms felt somewhat dark and dingy. Great location. more
