The Hilton Chicago has a lot of history, and they teach you that in the elevator with small TV screens. I was expecting more based on the history, but it seemed to be an old hotel with some fix-ups. The hotel was under construction during our stay, so the side lobby was cordoned off by plastic draping. The main lobby however, was very impressive. The room was comfortable, but VERY small. We had a king-sized bed which allowed for what seemed like one foot of room on either side of the bed. Very tight! More

This is a very nice Hilton on south Michigan avenue. There is a good breakfast bar in the morning, with a small irish pub/restaurant on the corner inside. Very good service. It was renovated some years ago, but still in decent shape. The lobby and entrance are very impressive. I'm sure the executive suites are very nice. More

What a majestic hotel with history throughout! I was there on a business trip and was amazed at the hotel's grander, the historic peacock doors designed by Tiffany, and the hand painted ceiling. More importantly, the rooms were perfect, the staff great, and the quietness throughout. More
