I just spent 2 nights at the Raffaello in a suite and found the accommodations to be exactly what I was expecting, a satisfactory hotel near the magnificent mile at a reasonable price. Managed to get a winter special rate of 149.00+ tax and felt at that price this hotel offered good value.

The hotel staff was very friendly - parking was very convenient and rooms were nice and clean. Room layout a little small (beds are only doubles). Otherwise very nice. great location.

This hotel is located on a quite street between Lake Shore Drive and the John Hancock Tower. It is an old hotel that has undergone a recent remodel. This is our favorite hotel in Chicago. Excellent location, beautifully appointed rooms, excellent amenities (I just wish they'd add a microwave!) and lovely staff. The Rafaello is a "tailored" hotel, like the perfect tuck of a hospital corner. Everything is neat, as are the staff. They are also extremely nice and accomodating. We have not one complaint. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to see plush robes hanging in the bedroom closet. This hotel even has good-tasting brewed coffee in the lobby bar....
