Stayed here for 5 days over NYE. Location: Michigan Ave. / Magnificent Mile -- AMAZING...close to everything. Hit the bloomingdales - amazing deals! AND if your from out of state: you get 15% off on top of that (go to customer service to ask for the coupon). We took the L train all over the city and it was just... More

Great place to stay. Old and majestic, the Drake sits on the northern end of the North Michigan Avenue "miracle mile". The Drake probably has the best location for Lake Michigan views and Michigan avenue frontage. More

Staying at The Drake for Christmas has become a holiday tradition for my family. We spend dozens of nights at hotels and motels throughout the year but NOTHING compares with this property. As soon as you enter you know you have enter someplace special. See you next year! More

The Drake is a fantastic hotel to stay at while in Chicago. Not only is it within walking distance to amazing shopping, but you are right in front of lake Michigan. The lobby is beautiful, and the rooms are nice. (we had a corner room and it was the largest room I have ever stayed in.....huge!!) this is a 'classic',... More

I stayed at the Drake for a week in January on business. I had heard much about the historic significance of the hotel and it did not disappoint! The lobby is beautiful, with a nice, old-world style charm and the display of famous guests on the ground floor shows the caliber of quality the hotel is hoping to convey. Check-in... More

The Drake Hotel is a great hotel located right off Michigan avenue in the center of Chicago. Also the lake is not even 100 meters away from the hotel, so the location is great. Rooms are spacious and have a separate room for clothes and suitcases, mattresses very comfy, and bathrooms absolutely fine. The service is excellent as one expects... More

Old but filled with history and culture. Half of the staff seems to have been here for decades and they really know what they are doing. You have to check out the bar. And, btw, the rates are great. More

I've stayed at half a dozen nice hotels in downtown Chicago, and The Drake is my favorite. I enjoy staying in well maintained historical elegant hotels and The Drake does not disappoint on that account. The service is on par with the reputation and the location is excellent for Michigan Ave. / Magnificent Mile shopping, dining and entertainment. With any... More
