We've stayed at the Tremont many times in the past 10 years, and it seems to be slowly slipping. It's still reasonably nice and definitely a good value. But updates are needed. Our tv was old with poor color and sound. Very few channels. Not a room you would want to spend time in. The Tremont used to be very... more

I don't understand all the complaints; we enjoyed the hotel and especially the location. Our room on the twelvth floor was very clean. The king size bed had soft pillows and was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but quite adequate. People have complained about the small rooms, but we have stayed all over England, France, and Italy in rooms... more

This hotel is in a great location just a block off of Michigan Avenue and a couple blocks from the Red Line train. My wife and I went on a trip there with some friends and had a great time. We planned a trip to Wrigley Field and the Tremont is so close to the Red Line and that makes... more

This hotel is just fine for the price and even better if you can get a deal. The el is close by as are lots of shops. The Hancock Tower is just down the road. Good to have a drink on the 95th floor. Breakfast is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only quibble is we had... more

Stayed two nights at the Tremont in Chicago. Excellent location right off Michigan Avenue. Booked thru Hotwire for around $69 per night during Memorial Day weekend. The room was 1 king bed with a chair, dresser, television, desk, iron/ironing board. The room was very clean and large, and staff quite friendly and helpful. We did not have the continental breakfast,... more

A lovely hotel reminiscent of a bygone era when hotels had woodpaneled elevators and cozy fireplaced lobbies. Perfect location ...half a block from the Hancock Tower and Michigan Ave. We spent 5 days there and were able to walk to most of the sites we were interested in seeing including Lincoln Park Zoo. The hotel graciously gave us a corner... more

The Tremont has seen it's better days, let's be honest. Rooms seemed to have been last renovated in the 70's and are showing their age. However, this hotel is well worth it. The common areas (including on-site dining and lounge/lobby areas) are classy. The location (half a block from Michigan Avenue, near the Hancock Tower) makes this a great jumping... more

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the tremont for a week in early may and couldn't have been happier with the choice. its location was unbelievable, close to everything shopping, restaurants and the cta. the hotel room was big compared to others we stayed, and the bed was massive. the bathroom was fine, very clean. the guy down at reception... more

I was not expecting this hotel to be as nice as it was, given the great rates they were offering. It's an older hotel with tons of charm in the lobby and the dining area. The rooms were a little small but clean. A continental breakfast, included in the price, was nothing fancy but it was a good way to... more

We stayed for three nights and have nothing but good things to stay. There's a great restaurant attached to the hotel and other eating places only two blocks away, including a 24 hour diner. The rooms were clean and compact and the hotel was very quiet. For us, the best part was the location, just half a block away from... more
