You don't have to enjoy literature to like The Huckleberry Inn, but readers will love the collection of books in the guest rooms and common areas. We booked our stay through word of mouth last year and just recently came back from another weekend. We vowed we would go every year if not more from then on. Our weekend at the Inn was very disappointing. We knew we were in trouble when we asked for forks the first night since we were having pizza delivered and they told us no, to use out fingers. We did ask about ice that night, even though we knew they had no ice machine per their web site, we were hoping... more
First, the pizza comment was a joke. I mean, it was pizza. But I quickly learned that these were not the type of people to joke with. What I did suggest is that they request to-go utensils when they ordered, because it was evening time and we were headed out. I wouldn't have time to wash 10 sets of forks...
