I had stayed at this hotel a year ago and it was pretty average. However, they recently complete a huge makeover and it's pretty awesome. Nicely renovated property with modern ammenities. After talking with the GM (Daryl?) all guest rooms and common areas (lobby, breakfast area, public wash rooms, pool, etc) have just undergone a total renovation within the last few months. Spent 3 days at the Hampton Inn Mattoon , Ill. If all Hampton Inns are this well mantained I will always book my stays there. The rooms were immaulate as well as the staff . Everything about my stay was wonderful. The bedding was out of this world. Can not say enough about how great my stay was. more
