Dear Red Roof Management:

Due to a past decline in the quality of Red Roof Inns, I had avoided them for some time.
In response to their promotion describing redone, upgraded, rooms, I thought I would give your Mt. Vernon Illinois, location a try. It was a disappointing experience to say the least.

Upon entry, of my room 311, there were 2 burned out light bulbs. There were cob-webs in the ceiling corners, large black marks on the walls and door. The sink & counter was so dirty that I had to clean it myself before using. Most disgusting was the bath/shower. The tub grout was mildew laden.
