If you are expecting service and a decent breakfast, this is NOT the place to stay. The Woodruff Hotel's owners also run the Inn at Nauvoo and Mercantile Store next door through an open courtyard where you check-in and leave your breakfast card. The hotel itself is in fact just a building with ensuite rooms - just front door, stairs... more

This place is a nice historic hotel. The room and bathroom were very clean and the view of the Temple was perfect. It has modern features and nice beds. The service was personal and refreshing. They took our bags to the room, gave us information on dinner spots, booked us on a fantastic tour. The manager greated us by name... more

My wife and I stayed at the Woodruff Hotel 3 nights. We were greeted by the manager Mark Kennedy . He made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. He even took our bags to our room for us.
