What a wonderful base camp for a stay in Oak Park. Waking up in a bedroom with the sun coming though the FLW windows is an inspiration for the exploration for the master's early works. Read the early chapters of Nancy Horan's recently released novel "Loving Frank" to get a very personal appreciation of the place this house plays in... more

A few summers ago, I spent 3 days at the Cheney House, and I was enchanted. I'm planning on returning over Christmas; Oak Park is a lovely town, and staying at the Cheney House was a quiet, refreshing way to explore this vibrant community.
