CARLETON Hotel of Oak Park - The king suite on the website looked old and charming but ours (rm 407) looked old and tired. The lighting was dim, there were stains on the lampshades, chair and worn carpet, and the mismatched furniture with missing knobs and worn edges made it look like the room was furnished from a garage sale.... more

First and foremost, I must warn people with physical disabilities about this hotel. This hotel is very old and not well equipped for persons with disabilities. We were put on the 2nd floor and had to go up 2 different 'make shift' elevators for people in a wheelchair. The wheelchair at one point got stuck and it was very difficult... more

These comments refer to the hotel, not the motel section. The staff was friendly and accommodated my 10am early check-in needs. The computer located at the front desk area for guest use is useful for printing boarding passes, however due to this non-private location, I was not comfortable using it for more than that.
