Lovely village setting just outside of Bath. Excellent fields around for walking the dog and then enjoying a beer or two (dog friendly). Food is very good and service was unobtrusive and efficient. Lovely outside area looking over the lovely countryside.

This is a fantastic pub in a very rural location. On the first night we stayed in a double room which was really cosy and well appointed although cold staff brought an extra blanket and floor heater. It was a birthday treat for my girlfriend, who was soon to become my wife, and we had the most wonderful 2nights stay. Massive bed with 9 pillows. Gorgeous bath. Open fire. Food very tasty. Easy to find. We wanted a private, exclusive weekend away from the normal trappings of life and certainly got it.
