We selected the Maple Crest in large part based on another Trip Advisor review that commented on how filled with Lincoln lore one of the innkeepers was, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The Gault Suite, where we stayed, was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The decor reminded me, fondly, of my grandmother's bedroom on the farm where she lived when I was a child back in the early 60s. The welcome was friendly, with wine and cheese served in the living room after we had unpacked and cleaned up. Upon learning I was a Lincoln buff, David was kind enough to share with us a wonderful collection of genuinely interesting information and anecdotes, as well as great ideas about what to see and do in the area, including thoughts about (and menus of) places we could have dinner.
